Grading System
While embracing a modern understanding of sports, the Department of Physical Education and Sports implements a credit-based evaluation system assessed on a “pass” or “fail” basis, rather than employing a traditional letter-grade system that directly affects students’ academic grade point averages. This approach enables students to focus on maintaining their physical and mental well-being without the pressure of grade anxiety. The courses appear as credits on students’ transcripts and contribute to the total credit requirement for graduation. By participating in these courses, students are motivated not by material concerns but by the aspiration to lead a healthy lifestyle. Another benefit of this system is the opportunity it provides for social interaction in the process of coping with academic workload and stress. Students from different faculties come together in the same sports disciplines, fostering social bonds and improving their communication skills. In this way, they not only enhance their academic journey but also establish meaningful friendships and professional networks, enriching their overall university experience.
