Our Men’s Water Polo Team Finished Second in the 1st League

In the 2024–2025 Men’s Water Polo 1st League, organized by the Turkish Water Polo Federation, our team finished the season in second place.

SUTOPU MAÇ

As the Boğaziçi University Water Polo Team players, we also compete in the Turkish Men’s Water Polo 1st League under 1863 Boğaziçi Sports Club. At the university, we have been training together for years as current students and alumni of the water polo team.

Last year, we took a major step forward and established the water polo branch of the 1863 Boğaziçi Sports Club. In the same year, we became undefeated champions in the Open Division and were promoted to the 1st League.

We played our group matches in May in Elazığ and July in Niğde, completing the group stage in 2nd place, which qualified us for the playoffs. In August, we won two out of three matches in the playoffs and finished as runners-up in the Men’s 1st League.

Going forward, we aim to provide more opportunities for our university teammates to gain experience in the league team. With these experiences, our goal is to bring new achievements to our university team and advance our league team even further.
