Boğaziçi University Rowers Crowned European Champions in Four Categories

The International Bled Rowing Regatta was held in Bled, Slovenia, on June 19–21, 2025. Representing Turkey with pride, Boğaziçi University’s rowing team — composed of both current students and alumni — achieved outstanding success at the European Masters Championships, returning home with a total of four gold medals.

The championship brought together 1,546 athletes from 404 clubs across 33 countries, making these results all the more remarkable.

Our achievements at the European Masters Championships:

• Deniz Taşkın – 1st place in AA category (ages 21–27), single scull
• Furkan Başkan – 3rd place in AA category (ages 21–27), single scull
• Deniz İpek Bardan – 1st place in AA category (ages 21–27), lightweight single scull
• Özgür Çubukçu / Nur Söylemez – 1st place in C category (ages 43–50), mixed double scull
• Kerimcan Ertuğ / Özgür Çubukçu / Nur Söylemez / Aslı Seyhan – 1st place in C category (ages 43–50), mixed quadruple scull
